The Iron is pea shaped and dark in color. The bush is knee high with pods scattered all over the plant. The flower is purple for both types. Pods are tan in color, from 6-8 inches long and contain from 12-14 peas. They mature to the dry stage in about 75 days and are easy to combine. They are widely used by the canning industry as field peas and are also a very good wildlife pea. USE ABSOLUTELY NO FERTILIZER.
