Knuckle Purplehull

Developed by the Alabama Agri. Experiment Station in 1959, this is an heirloom variety for sure. It has a low bushy plant with the pods scattered at foliage level. The pods are 6 inches long and .35”wide and turn reddish to purple with large seeds that turn brown when dry. Mature fresh peas will be ready to harvest in about 65-70 days. Flower color is purple.
